Endless Oiled Leather or Fettleder Strips - Color Lime
Saddle leather was originally used for harnesses, which made guiding animals easier. Also for "powering" machines, think of drive belts. Today, saddle leather finds other uses as well.
The saddle leather used is often but not always a clear, neutral, greasy, cowhide leather, which has great elasticity and tear resistance. This oiled leather, which comes in a variety of colors, has a unique chrome tanning recipe made by a reputable German tannery.
These  oiled leather strips are cut from a croupon by modern digital cutting tables. The length from a croupon can be as long as 175 meters, this applies to the narrowest strips. Grease leather has the property that it does not burn when it runs quickly through your hand. Therefore, it is very suitable for dog leashes, for example.
What is the best way to maintain this suede leather?
Maintenance for this oiled saddle leather is fairly easy. You don't want to do too much to it. Certainly don't treat it with harsh cleaning agents. At first, just use a damp cloth to clean it. If you find that over time the leather starts to look drier, you can rub it a little with a normal natural leather grease. That will be able to make it a little more supple and maybe also make the color a shade darker.
